Everybody’s favorite Merc with a mouth took cinema-goers and comic junkies alike by storm in early 2016. Ever since, the anticipation for a sequel to Deadpool has been growling in the bowels of both new and old fans. Boasting an 84% on Rotten Tomatoes, the film did quite well and “fingers crossed” the sequel seems that it could be just as good.

When? – Speculating the Deadpool Release

According to IMDb we should see the release of Deadpool 2 sometime in March 2018. A long wait for sure, but one that will be well worth it in my opinion. The release date is, of course, tentative and most likely will change. What we do know for sure is that filming is set to begin May 2017. This makes me think that an early to mid-2018 release isn’t too far-fetched.

Who? – Deadpool Cast

Wouldn’t a Hugh Jackman appearance be nice? I think so. Even Ryan Reynolds thinks so. In an interview with Unilad in February, Jackman when asked about a cameo in the upcoming film jokingly stated that “Reynolds is camped outside his house” and “he’s not very good at hearing the word ‘no'”. Joking aside, it does seem that this won’t happen. So, what else do we know about the cast?

Nothing really, as sad as that is. What we do have, however, are rumors and those are fun to look at. According to the post-credit scenes, if they hold true, we should see Cable, which makes a whole lot of sense if you are familiar with the comics. The names tied to Cable, according to Deadpool himself, are Mel Gibson, Dolph Lundgren and Keira Knightly. More realistically and recently rumored names include David Harbour and Pierce Brosnan. Who gets it and who would make the best Cable is yet to be seen, but it seems we will see Nathan Summers on the big screen along with Domino.

Get pumped

I, for one, can’t wait for the second installment of this film. If it is as action-packed and hilarious as the first one, it should be great. I would love to know what you think about it. Who would make a good Cable? Who would make a good Domino? What do you think the film will be about? All good things to think on until we get our Deadpool fix. Until then, enjoy the following video.
